Refund Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

1. Scope

This Refund Policy applies to self-service monthly and annual OwlUptime subscriptions purchased through Paddle. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record for the transaction, while Owl Uptime provides and licenses the product. Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to payment, cancellation, tax, and refund processing. An enterprise order form may contain different commercial terms, in which case that document controls where legally permitted.

2. Free plan and trials

The Free plan has no subscription charge. OwlUptime does not offer a trial period, so there is no trial conversion or trial charge to refund.

3. Cancelling a subscription

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation prevents the next renewal; it does not normally reverse the current charge. Paid features remain available until the end of the paid billing period unless the account is terminated for misuse, you request immediate deletion, or law requires another result. Save or export any data you need before access ends.

4. General refund rule

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the paid service period begins, including for partial periods, unused monitor capacity, plan downgrades, or failure to cancel before renewal. This rule never limits a refund, withdrawal, warranty, or other remedy that applicable law makes mandatory.

A refund may be approved for a duplicate or incorrect charge, a payment taken after a confirmed cancellation, or a material and prolonged inability to access the paid Service caused solely by OwlUptime. Service interruptions, performance issues, or undelivered third-party messages are assessed case by case and do not automatically create a refund right unless required by law or a separate service-level agreement.

5. Consumer withdrawal rights

If you purchase as a consumer, local distance-contract law may provide a cooling-off or withdrawal period, including a 14-day period in Türkiye or the European Economic Area in applicable cases. For digital services that begin immediately at your request, the law may permit the withdrawal right to be reduced or lost after you give the required express consent and acknowledgement. We will apply the mandatory rule that covers your transaction; nothing in this policy waives it.

Business subscriptions purchased for professional or commercial use may not qualify for consumer withdrawal rights. Account labels do not determine statutory status by themselves.

6. Requesting a refund

Submit the request to [email protected] or through Paddle’s buyer-support channel, preferably within 14 days of the charge. Include the account email, Paddle invoice or transaction reference, charge date, and reason. This request window does not shorten any longer mandatory period. Owl Uptime or Paddle may ask for information needed to verify account ownership and evaluate the request.

7. Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are processed by Paddle and sent to the original payment method unless law requires otherwise. Owl Uptime submits approved requests promptly, but Paddle and your financial institution control when the amount appears. Taxes and currency-conversion differences are refunded only when and to the extent available or required by law.

8. Annual plans, upgrades, and enterprise orders

Annual plan cancellations normally take effect at the end of the annual period and do not create a prorated refund. When you upgrade, any credit or proration displayed at checkout applies. Enterprise commitments, usage charges, service credits, and early termination are governed by the signed order form or service-level agreement.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy prospectively. The version in effect when a charge was made will generally govern that charge, subject to mandatory law. For billing or refund questions, email [email protected] before starting a payment dispute so we can investigate promptly; this does not limit your legal rights.
